A safe space for everyone

As one of the only organisations in the country catering to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people of all genders we understand the importance of providing a culturally safe space for everyone, no matter how they identify. We work with students who are often at a critical drop-out point and help them re-engage with their education.

Intensive support

Our All Gender Academies operate throughout the entire school year, working with students between the ages of 12 and 18 years old. We run engagement activities before, during, and after school, provide role-modelling, one-to-one and group mentoring, in-class and academic support, transportation to and from school, healthy meals, cultural excursions, camps, and events, well-being workshops, and a dedicated NASCA safe space.

Culture at the heart

When our young people feel strong in who they are, and connected to their Culture and community, they are best equipped to succeed – at school, further study, work, and far beyond. That’s why all our Academies provide opportunities to connect to Culture through NASCA sessions, workshops, events, activities and excursions throughout the entire school year.

“When I was in Year 8, I never wanted to finish Year 10 – now I’ve finished Year 12. My advice for younger students is to listen to NASCA because they will always be there for you, they will drop everything to help you get through school.”

Jack, Kingswood High School
