The selection process is highly competitive with demand across the country from skilled, qualified and inspirational Australians. To qualify applicants must by 21yrs and over, have experience working with children, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate young people.

NASCA relies on the support from volunteers to deliver our programs in the NT. We accept both Indigenous and non-Indigenous volunteers.

Are you our ideal volunteer? Do you have the following skill sets?

  • A demonstrated interest in; or knowledge of issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
  • Experience delivering education, community development, sports programs or general experience working with young people
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A team player with a willingness to get involved and fully participate in all activities, “can-do” attitude.
  • Demonstrate healthy life choices.

I will definitley be applying to come back next year, the experience was unreal! The perspective I have brought back here to my job and my community has really helped me. – Lucy, NASCA volunteer
